DESCRIPTION
As a Senior State and Local Government Container/Serverless Specialist Solution Architect, you will drive the adoption of AWS container and serverless services across government entities while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and security. You'll leverage deep expertise in container services (ECS, EKS, App Runner) and serverless technologies (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions) to help government agencies modernize their critical workloads. Working closely with field and central teams, you'll champion government customer needs, curate feature requests, and ensure compliance requirements are met for unique public sector use cases.
Your role includes maintaining technical standards for specialist artifacts, supporting go-to-market strategies, and leading field marketing initiatives focused on government modernization. As a thought leader in public sector technology transformation, you'll contribute to AWS Government blogs, whitepapers, and speaking engagements.
Additionally, you'll build and nurture an AWS internal community of container and serverless experts focused on government solutions, creating enablement materials that help Solution Architects integrate modern architectures into government workloads while meeting strict public sector requirements.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the State and Local Government Container/Serverless Specialist Solution Architect team, driving adoption of AWS container and serverless services in government entities.
- Partner with field and central teams to champion government customer needs for container and serverless solutions. Lead curation of feature requests and compliance requirements for unique government use cases.
- Provide deep technical expertise in container services (ECS, EKS, App Runner) and serverless technologies (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions) to help government agencies modernize critical workloads.
- Maintain technical standards for container and serverless specialist artifacts, ensuring alignment with government compliance requirements.
- Support go-to-market strategy and field marketing initiatives focused on container and serverless adoption in government, including technical events and customer engagements.
- Drive thought leadership in government technology modernization through AWS Government blogs, whitepapers, and speaking engagements.
- Build and support an AWS internal community of container and serverless experts focused on government solutions. Create enablement materials to help Solution Architects integrate modern architectures into government workloads while meeting public sector requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
