Position: Project Manager MT/QE Evaluations

Location: Austin, TX / Cupertino, CA / San Diego, CA (3 days onsite each week)

Type: W2 Contract

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Project Manager who can support the design, execution, and analysis of evaluation frameworks for Machine Translation (MT) and Quality Estimation (QE) models. The role involves running evaluations to check performance and risk, building high-quality datasets, and turning results into actionable insights. You'll connect linguistic quality frameworks with data analysis to help improve overall translation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and run evaluations for MT and QE models.
• Build, organize, and analyze large translation datasets.
• Apply statistical analysis to ensure results are reliable.
• Spot trends, anomalies, and risks in translation model performance.
• Present technical findings in a simple and clear way to both technical and business teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience in NLP/ML evaluations or localization analytics.
• Strong knowledge of evaluation design and statistical methods.
• Familiarity with benchmarking against human judgments and MT/QE metrics.
• Hands-on experience with Python and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau ).
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain results clearly to different audiences.
