We are looking for a motivated and hard-working information technology professional to join the senior leadership team and lead IT efforts across the hospitality group.

The Director of Technology is responsible for providing subject matter expertise for all technology projects. This role also provides a high level of IT support services to guests and staff by coordinating technology deployments. This is a technical role with operational and service-oriented aspects. This role provides guidance and leadership within the hospitality leadership and operations teams and will possess both hospitality industry experience and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise directly with executive team and leadership on design and delivery of all IT projects; delivering projects on-time, on budget, and of high quality
  • Provide subject matter expertise for new technology initiatives and manage system impacts and inter-dependencies
  • Ensure development and maintenance of system documentation including network diagrams, inventory and preventative maintenance records, replacements and upgrades, resolution of issues, and operating procedures
  • Identify technology requirements and recommend purchases accordingly
  • Mentor all employee tiers to improve their skills and ensure all team members can effectively handle incoming requests
  • Drive and facilitate effective collaboration and communications between the organization, IT department, and other departments within the company
  • Build effective working relationships with and manage workflow of third party technology providers and vendors to ensure maximum usage, prompt support, and cost-effective products
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades to equipment operating systems firewalls, anti-virus protection, and other general system utilities and applications necessary to the efficient support of the business applications
  • Configure and deploy servers, end user equipment, and networking equipment where applicable and hardware where required
  • Direct maintenance of equipment and installed software applications inventory for property ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing and new applications by creating. Maintaining, and enforcing standards, policies, and procedures (including SOPs) for implementing technical solutions
  • Software evaluation acquisition and implementation including oversight of basic user technical training and remediation activities.
  • Monitor and manages the acquisition and maintenance of property based systems
  • Determine goals, priorities, schedule plans, and necessary resources to ensure completion of any property projects on schedule and according to specification
  • Analyze information, then identify current and potential problems and solutions, ensuring solutions are consistent with the properties' needs and brand specific environment
  • Monitor computer and network operations at the property level, perform backup and recovery functions on a scheduled basis and administer functions for hardware operating and application systems on a consistent basis
  • Support all existing properties both on site and remotely, some travel required
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT related field or related work experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience in IT in a managerial capacity preferably in a hotel environment is desired
  • Experience implementing and managing multi-property front-desk systems, restaurant POS systems, and multi-property sales and event booking systems
  • Experience managing technology vendors
  • Knowledgeable about network administration PC and network trouble shooting file server configuration, backup systems configuration, network switch management operating system, and application software upgrading
  • Lead and manage security in IT, with expert knowledge of anti-virus and firewall management hardware configuration and troubleshooting company specific application maintenance and administration
  • Able to lead large technology initiatives and processes, develop and execute trainings, and manage delivery and ongoing support
  • Able to influence and collaborate across multiple areas of the organization while creatively maximizing resource utilization
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment within budgets and timelines
  • Competent in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-starter and quick to learn new software programs and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work some nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate
  • Able to travel as needed
