The role at a glance

• Setup and run simultaneous 5‑axis CNC mills (DMG MORI with Siemens 840D) to produce complex aerospace components to tight tolerances using blueprints and models.
• Interpret/adjust G‑code; follow Engineering’s control and manufacturing plans for repeatable results.
• Set speeds/feeds; align fixtures and tooling; perform 3D quickset and probing; verify on‑screen values against print sheets.
• Execute first‑article inspections, document critical dimensions, and meet Quality inspection requirements.
• Maintain 5S and total preventive maintenance standards; keep the area clean and audit‑ready.
• Load/unload materials; calculate complex angles/features; use precision digital metrology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years precision CNC milling with complex parts; multi‑axis required, simultaneous 5‑axis strongly preferred; DMG MORI experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to hold ~0.0002"–0.0005" tolerances (and tighter as needed).
• Blueprint literacy and skill with digital measuring instruments.
• Siemens 840D experience strongly preferred.
• Shop math and GD&T familiarity; basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Preferred

• Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent higher education; or equivalent experience.
• Precision machine shop background with CNC mills/lathes.
• AS9100 work environment experience (strongly preferred).
• Track record meeting customer surface finish requirements.

Compensation

• Pay is commensurate with experience and tied to our job progression/job hierarchy.
• Starting pay range: $28–$36 per hour, dependent on experience.

Early‑career pathway (apply even if you’re close)

We also hire CNC Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift (with shift differentials). Operator pay follows a separate scale, starting at $20/hour base and increasing as skills advance toward machinist levels. It’s a strong gateway to a machinist role.
